Tactile Spelling Ideas

Sensory Tray – Fill a cookie sheet with salt, sugar, flour, shaving cream, pudding, whipped cream, or any other fun goop you can think of and have your child write their spelling words with their finger in the goop.

Chalk on the Driveway – This one is pretty self-explanatory; have your child write their spelling words on the driveway (or sidewalk) with chalk.

Type It – What kid doesn’t like an opportunity to use the computer?  Have your kids type out their spelling words on the computer.  Use different fonts and different sizes to make it even more fun.

Playdoh Spelling – Have your child spell their words with playdoh.
