I grew up in the Twin Cities area with my parents and five siblings. In 1999, I graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught third grade in the Bloomington Public Schools for six years.
When my husband, Nathan, was offered a job at Winona State in 2005 we moved to beautiful Winona with our six-week old baby, Olivia. We were later blessed with three little boys, Jacob, Henry, and John. My children are in eighth, fourth, third, and kindergarten here at Cotter and WACS this year. This will be my fifth year teaching at WACS.
We live just outside of town with our dog, cat, numerous chickens and innumerable bees (who live in their own beehive).
I enjoy reading, knitting, being outdoors, and spending time with my family. I look forward to getting to know each of my students and their families this year. I love the energy and creativity of the children at school and am looking forward to the school year!
