Hello WACS Families!
My name is Kelley Skeels and I love teaching fourth grade. This is my eighth year teaching at St. Stan's.
I grew up in the Chicago area in a town called West Dundee. My parents, two older sisters and their husbands all live in West Dundee. I am a proud aunt to a nephew who turned six in June.
I moved to Winona in 2008 and attended Winona State University. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful surroundings and sense of community in Winona. During college I worked at a daycare in the preschool and school age program. I also worked at Cotter Residence Center as a Resident Assistant. I graduated in May 2012 and received my degree in Elementary Education with emphases in math and science.
I met my husband at Winona State freshman year. We got married October 2013. Mr. Skeels teaches fifth grade here at St. Stan's. Mr. Skeels is a Winona native and WACS and Cotter graduate.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with Mr. Skeels and our two puppies Leo and Ollie! We stay busy with the puppies by going for walks and playing all the time.
I am so grateful to have the opportunity to teach at St. Stan's. I am passionate about learning and sharing my excitement for learning with my students. In my classroom I strive to provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for children to learn and grow. St. Stan's is full of teachers who share their faith and love with everyone. It is a good place to be. I feel so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful faith filled community.
Please feel free to call me or email me anytime.
