**Mark your calendars for the social sporting event of the summer! 12th Annual WACS Golf Outing is June 4, 2012 at Bridges Golf Course, Winona, MN. Proceeds from this event go to support educational programs at the Winona Area Catholic Schools. Enjoy a day of golf, dinner, program and prizes for only $90 per golfer, or $360 per foursome. Hole sponsorships are also available. This is a great way to promote your business and show support for our schools. First Holy Communion
WACS second grade students celebrated their first holy communion at school Mass on Friday, May 11, 2012. We are blessed as a school community to witness the beginning of a life of faith that continues to be strengthened and nourished by the Eucharist every Sunday at Mass. And may they hold true to their beliefs as they grow into young adults. Congratulations to all our First Communicants and their families! Blessings to All.

Fifth Grade Religion Bee
Congratualtions to all the participants in the 5th grade Religion Bee. First place winner this year is Hannah Peratt. Hannah is pictured front center next to second place winner, Brittany Meier. and third place winner,Will Modjeski. Hannah and sixth grade winner Conner Walechka., will crown Mary during our May Crowning held after Mass on Friday,May 18 St. Stan's Church.

Yoga at School is Cool!
Students in Mrs. Beach's Kindergarten class learn yoga. Yoga can help children enhance their well-being and calm emotions and actions. The students learn different techniques of yoga with their teacher. A children's based program is shown on the classroom smart board while students follow along with the movements of the yoga program.This lesson has proven to be a fun way for children to build strength, spirit, and self-esteem.
